Securing Iowa's Communities
HSEMD is working with county emergency management coordinators, first responders, educational institutions, volunteers, and other partners at the local level to ensure the safety of Iowa's communities through the following programs and inititatives: Planning, Training, and Exercise; E-911 , Iowa Mutual Aid Compact; Iowa Disaster Human Resource Council; Citizen Corps/Community Emergency Response Teams; NOAA Weather Radio; Nuclear Power Plant Safety; and Mitigation.
